Great game although I was about to pay a visit to Vinnie and Guido about a certain ACC crew who needed their "priorities" checked. The fix looked to be in for the first three quarters, but then I wonder if the check didn't clear and they decided to call the game square late. Either way, Sam Darnold best be on the short list for the Heisman and it sounds like JuJu might be returning for 2017. Still miffed at Chris Petersen and the turd my UW Huskies left on the pitch on Saturday. Just hoping that Clemson can show more offense because Bammer couldn't score in a Bangkok House of Pleasure with hundreds hanging out of their pockets.

So, Chargers move to LA. Rams hire Sean McVay as youngest head coach in NFL history. Chargers hire Anthony Lynn as THEIR head coach. Rams hire Wade Phillips as defensive coordinator. Just a ho hum day in Los Angeles football.

...and the Chargers do a REALLY bad job trying to copy the Dodger logo!

That new Charger logo is just abominable. Having met both Alex and Dean Spanos in the long ago past, it fits their mentality. Neither would make a bad College Bowl team. I will say this, there should be a lot of good seats available at the Stub Hub Center for Charger games this season.

Also have a very down Brazilian. The game was so bad, she started to squirt out tears just before halftime. Then she sat in pout position (a far back as she can sit on a sofa, legs up to her chest, arms crossed and sniffling with red eyes). This is bad. I paid dearly last night, a lot of me talking to myself, getting glares of malevolence whenever I went near her and the killer, the next morning grumble, mumble and million mile stare. I know the only cure for this condition requires lots of money and a plane trip. I just hope it is not NYC. I am in hiding right now because I know before the sun is high in the sky, she will make her request and there will not be any negotiation involved if I intend to not live with a pouting child.

Not quite THAT down, but after watching the Texans get taken apart by the Patriots and then the Cowboys almost coming back against Green Bay only to fall short, I can almost relate to the "pout" position. But, it's not like it's the Dodgers, so that brings me back to reality.

Toes is very excited because her Philadelphia Eagles now come to Los Angeles TWICE, this year. I'm more inclined to try to get tickets to the Chargers game because I'm betting there will be more (and cheaper seats) at StubHub over the Coliseum and because I won't be as upset if the Eagles beat the Chargers than I would watching them whup up on the Rams.

The slim hope of an all Texas Super Bowl in Houston blew up in our faces over the weekend. Yeah, Texans vs.Patriots was a long shot, but after the expected outcome Saturday, there was still hope for the Cowboys vs. Packers. Unfortunately, the Cowboys' defense made some stupid mistakes in the first half and after the offense tied the game with a minute left in regulation, the D could not keep the Pack out of field goal range. I felt so bad that it seemed like the Dodgers had lost a June game in SF...for a while.

Same shared feeling here in Fort Worth...

You Cowboy fans have nothing to hang your heads over. That was the best football game I've seen in years. Aaron Rodgers pulled out a miracle for his FG kicker. He's truly a masterful QB. Dallas will be good for years to come w/Elliot, Prescott, and a great O-Line. Zeke was a blue chipper coming into the NFL but who even knew Dak Prescott. So impressed with him...my football stud muffin...

The Cowboys lost the game on the first drive. They were picking up chunks of yards, 6-8 at a time, with that little out pass being wide open every time they tried it, then they tried to get cute and go downfield on 3rd and 2. Incomplete, field goal, game over.

Yeah, you kind of knew that was going to bite them, but the defensive line couldn't get a decent rush on Rodgers. When they did, they couldn't contain and he would just float out to his right and wait for an open receiver. What really looked bad was a couple of penalties. The illegal substitution created when a DL celebrated a big play and then couldn't get his ample ass off the field in time on a substitution. The stupidest one was the 15 yarder for unsportsmanlike conduct because a wide receiver entered the huddle from the bench and then was substituted out without participating in the play...never saw that before and it seemed it should have been an illegal substitution, not a fifteen yarder.

Of course, Rodgers' Half Mary to set up the field goal was the killer.

Hey, you California football fans will have two teams in L.A. to watch fold next year.

The din from the one handed applause is deafening. Talk about the answer to a question no one, and I mean no one was asking. Aside from a pumpkin clad nine from the Bay Area and a bunch of chowder eating leprechauns, the Chargers are probably my least favorite sports team in existence.

Given that the enthusiasm for the Rams, simply due to the fact the Rams are back in LA will wane pretty quickly in 2017 if they make no significant improvement, the last thing Angelenos need or want is another team in Los Angeles. There is virtually zero fan base for the Chargers in LA. The Raiders would be #1 even over the Rams, but they've made their commitment to Las Vegas. I still believe the Chargers, the NFL and San Diego could and should have made enough of an effort to keep them down south (they really weren't that far apart) and I would prefer LA be a one-team city--RAMS--but it is what it is.

Couldn't agree more. But, I like the new head coach and we will see if Snead can do a better job without Fishface looking over his shoulder. I would love to see us somehow get back into the first round so we might get a real wide receiver like Schuster-Smith and I hope we spend big on an offensive line because ours was pathetic, especially Robinson and Barnes. Keep the special teams together and find a way to keep Robert Quinn healthy - move him to a stand-up DE in a 3-4 defense sounds like the best way to keep him on the field.

Now that it seems Tony Romo has played his last down as Dallas' QB, the teams should be lining up to inquire about him. Two teams that come to mind immediately are the Houston Texans and yall's L.A. Rams. No?

The Rams seem happy with Goff and with a real offensive minded coach to tutor him, he may show the same ability he showed at Cal. Don't know if Houston is willing to go big on another quarterback when they are on the hook to Osweiler for $70 large. I am thinking Romo as a fit in Buffalo or Chicago, if they cut ties with Cutler. I know Cleveland would love to have him, but I think he has choices that are better than Cleveland or San Francisco. Hell, maybe the Jets take a shot at him. I could see Romo liking the bright lights of New Jersey. I just want my Rams to build an O-Line that will keep Goff from being the next David Carr.

The Rams just hired Greg Olson to be the new QB coach. I'll be very interested in who they pick as their Offensive Coordinator. O-Line is priority #1. I am hearing they are interested in signing DeSean Jackson to give somebody for the kid to throw to. Explosive talent, but has the maturity of a fresh picked grape. He has worked well with Sean McVay and would be coming home to Los Angeles. With a QB friendly head coach, a solid QB Coach to hone Goff's skills, an O-line that opens holes for Gurley to keep every defense from Pop Warner on up off of Goff's butt and a (hopefully) creative OC to put it all together, we might see the Rams at least look at a winning season.
