Well, I am not going to feel bad that the Rams got a break. The officiating was weak on both sides of the ball. Unless the NFL adopts a protest rule similar to baseball and retroacitvely implements it, the media complaining and stomping their little feet is nothing more than sour grapes. All it sounds like to me is that the Saints and their fans are deflecting. They should've blew the Rams out in the first quarter, but two chip field goals and touchdown before the Rams got a first down was disappointing. The Saints' offense never got in sync, either because of the Rams' defense or that Brees wasn't able to go downfield, but the Saints has multiple early opportunities to turn the game into a rout and failed. One call, no matter how egregious, doesn't really let the Saints off of the hook. They had all of the advantages, home field, raucous crowd, the Rams' offense being MIA for the first twenty minutes of the game and Todd Gurley being hurt(?), sick(?), distracted(?) or all of the above and still lost. I am sorry, but the press whining over one no call is not going to win me over.
