Last game Taylor goes 0 for 5 with 3 K's and nine runners left on base. So, he hits fifth. :confused:

Maybe it's just me, but I feel this is a really important series. It's obvious the offensive juggernaut has begun to normalize. The loss of Seager, who was showing the kind of force he can be, looms large. Taking three of four from the Cubs would really keep the team on a near record pace and alleviate some (unwarranted) worries.

And, dammit, bunt on Lester!

At least 7 Cubs rake vs Kershaw. Cubs seem to be one of their bad matchups. I have very little confidence in this series w/everyone except Max & Turner slumping.

Dodgers are no fun to watch when they have the Mendoza triplets as everyday players & nobody can hit. Why can Scherzer & Verlander still throw w/velocity, miss bats & rack up the K's, & they're older than Clayton?

Perhaps Kershaw has never fully recovered from his back injury and probably never will.

It's so easy to see how Lester has been so successful in his career. He pitches to the bottom of the zone & on the outside edges & gets strikes called off those edges. The 2 pitches he got above the thighs at waist high were hit out.

Kershaw really, really, really needs to develop a changeup to be an ace w/his diminished velocity & very little velocity difference between his FB & slider.
