Hello All
Longtime viewer of this group, love the posts from real Dodger fans.
Have been a lifelong fan myself since the days of transistor radios and Vin Scully fading in and out at night trying to hear the games from SF Bay Area....

Greetings from the Great Northwest

Giving credit to Chris Paddock :
In his post game interview he was very humbled and gave credit to a great lineup. I don’t think with his stuff he will have many days like this.I have thought for awhile the Padres are very close to being a very good team and this season proves they are more than close.I am not laughing at them anymore.
With the farm system they have in place it will not be fun to play them at any point in the next 5 years.

I also am glad we spent our money on Mookie and NOT Manny.

Some thoughts:
I do love what we have in our pen.Even though Alexander had a bad outing he has been pretty good.I don’t always agree with Roberts with his by the Joe Torre book strategy for sure.Almost never at times. However with what we have now I think we can say it is almost impossible for him to screw things up.

Which Also brings me to the point about Jensen.I Like others here do not feel he is closer material any longer. All this talk about adding velocity and better conditioning? I see an overweight guy with iffy stuff.I always felt he was luckier than actually great.Better lineups will expose him.

The last comment is I regret the fans are not seeing Mookie show what type of player he is.
Very happy to have a new commenter here in the world of Dodgermania. Please pull up a keyboard, join the conversations, & have a good time. BTW, very interesting name you have.

Hold on to your caps because the Dodgers will now go to Anaheim, where they are 22-40 lifetime, & face 2 LHP. Yikes.

Good Call! Lynn pitched a complete game two-hit, one-run game last night.

Does anyone see a facial resemblance, beard/no beard between Lynn and AJ Pollock?

Yes, they do. Why would the Dodgers trade for Lynn? We have plenty of starters. Wood coming back soon is going to push Gonsolin out, which I hate, & Lynn would push May out because the Dodgers love their veterans.

Did anybody watch intentional talk yesterday? Kevin Millar predicted a big next couple of days for Bellinger because of the Angels lefties helping to lock him in. The result, two jacks.

Yeah, I get that, but DM99 made that call BEFORE Lynn pitched a great game. Who wouldn't be glad to take a guy with a 1.11 ERA and a 0.782 WHIP? Alex Who?

The old adage is that you cannot have too much good pitching.

Plus, if Pollock turns back into a pumpkin, he can blend in better with Lynn in the dugout.

More from MLBTR:
Astros' Michael Brantley to IL with right quad discomfort. Seems the problem started when he stepped on Joe Kelly's foot as Kelly was covering first base. There was some conjecture about intent on Brantley's part on that play, but since he is an ASSterisko, he has immunity from MLB!

What's Belli's excuse?
Believing the hype and falling into bad habits. Needs to get back to taking what they give him instead of going Babe Ruth on every swing. That's how he got great last year. When he just tries to rake everything 20 miles over the RF wall, the hole in his swing gets to be as big as the Grand Canyon.

Massive electrical storm all Saturday night which took out power & I had to miss yesterday's game. The power goes out here for a drizzle or a breeze. I hate P.G.& E. Okay, give me the skinny on Kiebert Ruiz's debut game besides the highlight HR I saw. His swing is beautiful. How are the kid's receiving skills?

I liked the kids receiving skills. In a flashback, he reminded me of Charles Johnson with the way he moves behind the dish.

I am good with what we have pitching wise.
If an bonafide ACE who was a True difference maker fell into our lap Then possibly.
I see May getting better and Gonsolin Has done nothing wrong to make me distrust him.
I could care less if Alex Wood stays, Prays, goes or blows to be honest.
A wasted pickup with injury huge risk ,proving true.

I may be a little long of tooth but Sparky Anderson was the first manager I remember that used his starters 5-6 innings and then had a shut down bullpen close it out.
If we have to follow that formula I am good with it.
