Brewers at Dodgers 10/2/2021

Julio fighting command. Every Dodger has been mortal their last few starts.
 
I was wondering how long they would leave Burnes in. The game is meaningless to the Brewers so why risk him. He threw 42 pitches which probably is enough of a tuneup. I wouldn't be surprised to see something similar tomorrow.

He's thrown more than 100 innings more than he ever did before. 230% as many innings as his previous high. Not a surprise if he is on fumes.
 
My (actually intelligent) Giants fan/friend thinks that the rumor of Tingler’s departure has the effect of having the players “play” for him; and hurts the Giants. I’m not sure I buy that logic (can’t believe there is any love lost on that roster)... but hey, if it “hurts” the Giants, I’m good with that...

Cody will do just fine in the Playoffs, because Friedman promised that he’d host a pizza-n-swim party for Cody and his classmates, if he hits HRs...
