I respectfully disagree. You never go into any base standing if there is even a chance of a play on you. Maybe he mistimed his approach to the bag (it's a set number of steps every time), but to just go in like that was BS. Roberts said he did not have a steal sign.
To say "I felt like I twisted my ankle" to explain going in standing, doesn't wash.
As bad as Roberts is strategically, he always has a player's back if there is any defense possible. For him to be visibly upset (the day after clinching) shows a lot, and it's not on Roberts.
