After the brutally grueling stretch of two straight games (following a day off), Roberts decides to rest three regulars representing a major chunk of his offense in a sporting gesture to accept a handicap and make the game more competitive. Also of note is after not using Lux at all last year, Doc decides he has already gained enough confidence in just two games back in the bigs that he loads added pressure on the kid by asking him to lead off.
Dodgers
G. Lux 2B
C. Seager SS
C. Taylor RF
C. Bellinger CF
M. Muncy 1B
A.J. Pollock LF
E. Rios 3B
A. Barnes C
W. Buehler P

Rockies
R. Tapia LF
G. Hampson CF
T. Story SS
C. Blackmon RF
C.J. Cron 1B
R. McMahon 2B
J. Fuentes 3B
D. Nunez C
J. Gray P

Weak ass lineup because most of them either aren't hitting or can't hit. SMH Notice the Rockies didn't pull starters only the C.

Even with these guys out, the Dodgers should be able to beat a team as shitty as COL is even at Coors Field. The reality is that the Dodgers are expected to win a shit ton of games against everyone.

Maybe, if Ferris pitches a shutout.

But this day off bull shit the third game of the season is ridiculous. They talk of the dehydration factor at altitude. Duh, drink more (non-alcoholic) liquids throughout the time you are there. The only guy who you wouldn't want to overwork is Jansen with his a-fib issue. These guys are athletes in the prime of their lives.

I do agree. It creates a mentally and physically soft team. There is no reason to have days off this early in the season.

The thing with Roberts is that he has absolutely no skills as a manager. Nothing at all in terms of strategy and managing a roster. He is literally a fucking idiot that doesn't possess the capacity to learn from mistakes. Some people call that a functioning retard but that will get you in trouble nowadays for being mean.

What Roberts does is smile for the cameras and be a nice guy.

Hard to comprehend that after 22 innings (in Coors no less) Ramiel Tapia has one more home run than the entire Dodgers team combined.

Infuriating to no end. Like Beef said both Seags & Cody scheduled day off. Not only are they athletes but THEY'RE 12 YEARS OLD SAVE JT.

I could run marathons in my 40's and 50's, but these guys can't play a four game series to begin the season.
