Admittedly, we did have to veer from the norm and take on a more, shall we say, mature tone as a last ditch effort to kickstart the offense. All I can say is that, fortunately, the Dodgers won. Or let's just say, at least for today: ItTookKate.

Yeah, that was during that terrible 3 week span of multiple blown saves. However, I sang his praises in ST, the start of the year through June, then back on the train after the break when he found it again. Kenley has been terrific all year outside of that stretch.

Well, folks here were all anti Kenley from last year to ST to the start of 2021. That's how. Tunes didn't start changing until the 2nd half. Not many voices advocating a resign either.
 
Still not that hip on a resign. Shouldn’t get all wrapped in emotion. Look at his body of work for last few years, price, and other options

Jansen's had a good 2021 and, more recently, a great three months. I'm happy to see that. But given he had a shitty three years before, and has been the definition of inconsistency, there's still very good reason to be skeptical. He can lose it as quickly as he finds it. I still wouldn't re-sign him.
 
I get that Kenley looks good, but get past this year and he is on the downside of his career, he has never been one to be at optimum physical shape and he has a history of only giving as little effort as he can get away with. I see this is a run for the next contract. Unless he is willing to take two years and no more money, I say thank you for your service and have fun in Miami, Washington DC or Philadelphia. Let them give him four years and $70+MM. Good on them and him. Unless your last name is Rivera, no closer should get more than two years in any deal and if he does, buyer beware.
 
It’s funny, I woke up today after this crazy dream and turned on video of last night’s game... Bellinger REALLY did hit that ball... It was so Kirk Gibson like... amazing!
