NLDS Game 5 vs Giants 10/14/2021

The game started off badly for me. I had been feeling lousy for the past couple hours before gametime and Herself dosed me with NyQuil. For a few minutes I felt a coma coming on, but I fought through it and with the assistance of gallons of hot tea and with the girls turning the house into a sauna I did the whole nine innings. The economy sized glass of Johnny Walker almost killed me. You know, good whiskey is still highly dangerous when you haven't imbibed in years.

I will say this, Max was intense. I like it.

Couldn't agree more. Taste like dirt. Gotta' have a single malt Scotch.
Scotch tastes like cough syrup, bad cough syrup. Single malt, double malt, it does not matter. Look, the alcohol purchases here are by wimmenfolk. If that is what is shoved in my hand, I will drink it and do as I am told. Hell, back in the day, I used to drink Black Velvet and that stuff is pure swill. I was a cheap drunk and I am proud to say it. This should tell you everything, I liked Jaegermeister. Okay, back to early morning celebrations.

Like I told BC, I don't know shit all about alcohol. When I was a kid, I drank Tuborg because I liked the name. When I got older, I drank stuff that cost under $2 a bottle. Boone's Farm I believe. As I got older, I was the guy who drank the cheap stuff unless someone else was paying. Johnny Walker is pretty spendy when you compare it to what I bought in my younger days. I mean, you could throw out other names, but that would be like trying to explain string theory to Joc Pederson and Cody Bellinger.

Thanks a lot... I will never get this image out of my head! Having an intellectual conversation with those guys’ is like.... crap, it’s just not possible. However, that might actually be a superpower of theirs when it comes to the pressure of Playoffs. I mean, try telling Cody to not overthink his hitting; and he will just look at you... blankly...

For the record, I did pick Cody (or Lux) to be the big hit hero’s... the power LH bat + athleticism creates havoc at the bottom of the order... but please don’t waste your time trying to get that guy to think...

Cody's explanation of his game winning swing: "I stayed a little more simpler" isn't enough to convince you he's ready to comprehend string theory?

I think the first line in string theory actually is: “I couldn’t have done with without all theses guys’... let’s party!”
