Getting ready to head to the hospital. Katja let me know he had a good night. She said she thinks he is going to wake up because she said it felt like he held on to her hand. I hope she is right. I am a wreck, I did not sleep much and I went through a box of tissues. I do not even know if I am doing this right. This should be fun, me and Tatianna driving into the city and both of us cannot stop tearing up. Jos headed down there already. I also worried about these kids taking time off from work. Ok, we are going to leave. Dogs are fed, cats are fed, oh crying again. Allie has been looking for Chris for the past couple days and whining because she cannot find him. Shit, I am so fucking useless. I am sorry, I am just I do not know, worthiess. I cannot make this better and it hurts inside so bad.

Happy yay! I am still crying but I was told to sit down and calm down. Chris squeezed Tatianna's hand like an hour ago. Tatianna was holding his hand talking to him and me and Paula were talking to the nurse when Tatianna said, "Papa, that hurts!" and then she started bawling and we all screamed. It was kind of funny, when we screamed all of these security people and doctors showed up and then they kicked us out of the room except for Tatianna because Chris would not let go. The doctor says he is coming out of the coma and now we have to wait to see if everything works. I do not care, I got my husband back and that is all that matters. I so wanted to go in there right now but they are telling me to take it slow because they need to find out just how awake he is. Fuck, my phone is covered in tears and it is making it hard to type. That was like the 10th time I typed that and I hope it is ok. The Boy just got here with dinner and when I told him, he dropped our dinner and fell to his knees. I have never seen the Boy cry but it was not pretty.

It was all your prayers and hope for Chris. I am so grateful for all of his friends he has who have prayed for him. I so want him to tell each of you thanks. Mikki and Jill are on their way. They were in Spain yesterday and their plane just landed here. I am trying to call Jill to tell her but she is not picking up. His cousins have been here to, so it is like a huge crowd in the sitting area next to the ICU. We are pretty loud right now but no one is telling us to be quiet. Katja called our priest and he was on his way here, so he is a very happy. I gotta call Shota to let him know and I do not know what time it is in Sapporo. Ok, they are telling us to calm down. I have never been hugged by so many people, even the security guys gave me a hug. So happy. I got a smile that is so big they are saying. They told me I can go in in 5 minutes and I will be surprised. I cannot wait. Laters.

Hi, Chris is going to try to rest. He is much better and his eyes were open and they let him sit up, it was easier for him to breath but he is having a real hard time trying to talk. They said his neck is sore, probably the tube they shoved down his throat and he can move his arms and toes. He gave me a goofy kind of smile and tried to say sorry. I think he got mad because it did not sound right. I just cried. I went to hug him and the nurse said no, he is not too strong. Seemed stupid because he hurt Tatianna's hand. I just sat with him and watched him breath. I got to give him some water and more crying. He tried to pat my head, oh crap, here come the waterfall of tears. Anyway, the Boy and Domi are in there, they just want to see him but let him relax. Mostly, it is one at a time to see him and tomorrow, if he is feeling up to it, he can see more people.

The doctor says he is still really weak and his eyes are not reacting to light right. The doctors told me the brain is still a mystery and his eyes may work right tomorrow or he might not see as well as he did before. They are more worried about him talking because the part of the brain which did not get blood is the speech part. They are now thinking he did not bleed as badly as they first thought and some of the blood they found might have been from him slamming his head on the counter when he went out. Tatianna told him he looks like the mummy because of the gauze on his head from the surgery and they had to shave part of his head. Thierry brought the grandkids and both asked where was Papa. Katja said she had to leave the room because she started crying and did not want to scare them. I know Chris will want to see them, but I think that is later because I do not think he wants to scare them either. I am here for another hour or so and tonight it is Domi and the Boy who will stay with him. I think the Boy just wants to make sure his dad goes nowhere. I told him to think again about getting married. There might not be many more chances for your dad to be there. He told me I know Mom. Ok, I am going back to talk to the nurses and tell them thank you. I am actually getting the hang of typing on my phone.

Hi, sorry. It has been so exciting today. Chris still cannot talk, but his left eye works good and his right eye is better. He got to sit straight up and he got jello. This is huge stuff. The doctors were just marveling on how well he is doing. They are still worried about him overdoing it because he wants to walk. Katja gave him a tablet and his fingers work but typing makes him tired. His color seems better and they might let him get a wheelchair ride on Monday. Everyone who saw him was so broken up over how well he is doing. Mikki just told him to never do this again. Chris is all he has left from their family and he needs him around just to make fun of him.

See, I forgot to power up my phone last night and it died at 9, so I could not do anything. Oh yeah, the doctor took away the tablet when he saw Chris tapping on it. She said no more tablets or phones or computers. He is on rest and needs to get healthy before he can surf the internet. I think some of the Saturday nurses did not care for the crowd in the lobby near the ICU. We were kind of loud. If Chris keeps on getting better, he might get his own room and then we can visit him without someone clicking their tongue.

I got some words of advice, too. A doctor took me aside and said I look very tired and she gave me a checkup. She gave me a shot of Vitamin B or B-12, I do not remember and made me eat a sandwich. I then remembered the only thing I had eaten was two bagels and some french fries in like 3 days. Not good. Yeah, losing weight is great but starving is stupid. One nurse gave me a milkshake because she said I looked like I was going to keel over. I guess I better take care of myself too. Ok, the nurse says we all have to go. It is Saturday and we should have a life and let the patient get some sleep. I want to stay tonight but they told me no, so Tatianna is spending the night tonight. All right, Mikki and Jill are taking me home but I get dinner first.

So tired. Better day than yesterday. Chris is going to meet with a speech pathosomething and they are going to see if they can get the words he tries to say not be so jumbled up. Funny, he did okay in Japanese, or so Paula said. Who knows? The doctor said he is going to get a wheelchair ride on Tuesday and if he keeps getting better, he can get his own room. They are just worried about his blood pressure, it is still low around 100/75 and they are giving him a lot of stuff to drink. He tried to tell Paula he wants the damn catheter out. We let him watch the Ram game to the half but we turned it off. I think he was getting angry on Goof.

Even our parish priest came in for a quick service. Chris was happy to see him and more relaxed after the visit. They let Chris have a pencil and paper after dinner and he wrote me a note. Kind of pervy, but I liked it. Just got to get him home. He also reminded us that there is a bunch of frozen turkeys on order at Provigo for the church larder for XMas. I better get Mikki to help me because it is a lot of turkeys.

Ok, sorry, got a call from my sister. She heard about Chris and she asked if I needed her to keep me company. It was easy to say no. I think I need to remind Katja to not send blast emails to everyone in the world. I was kind of surprised she did not show up on our doorstep a couple days ago. Bad news is like fresh meat to her and she comes running. I better get some sleep, it is past 11 and Tatianna has been my bunky when she is not at the hospital keeping an eye on Chris. The nurses said, no one spends the night tonight because Tatianna was kind of annoying. Girl is like an octopus at night. I have shared a bed with Katja and Paula and it was not as eye opening as Tatianna. She has like 8 hands and needs to cuddle. I am ok with cuddling with a dog but not Tatianna. Well, laters, that yawn was pretty big.

Hi, going home in like 10 minutes. Chris had a lot of tests today. Eyes, blood, they did range of motion and he got to work with the speech person. The range of motion looked painful and he did a lot of grunting, but they need to do it. He got to stand and he needed both orderlies to hold him up because he was pretty shaky. At least they took out the catheter and he was happy about that. He got mushy food so far, oatmeal, soup, stuff like that. His blood pressure is better today but they are still not happy. Doctor is more worried about his weight. He is down to 189 and that is way too skinny for him. I told the doctor what he eats during the day and she thinks he has a super fast metabolism (yay, spellcheck) and they might have to get him to real food soon. I told her ever since he had Hodgkins and got cured, he has to eat like 5 or 6 meals a day. Mostly fruits and vegies and sometimes rollups, but she thinks he needs to add more carbs to his diet. Yeah, he has it rough, he can eat all day and still lose weight. I hate that.

Ok, Mikki is ready to go, but first he wants to talk at his brother and see if he has any new notes for us. I will talk to you guys later.
