KCP back, too. Just heard it up here and they are talking sign and trade with Randle. Gotta think for draft picks to send to the Spurs.

So, who's next? Boogie? Aaron Gordon? Leonard? I am sure Pelinka's phone is ringing now.
Gordon back w/the Magic 4 yrs. Blown achilles is nothing to fool around with. The odds are really low an athlete makes it back in the same capacity. Hell, he won't even be available for several months into the season. W/LBJ in the fold for 4 years, the Lakers can play hardball w/the Spurs & not give in to a ridiculous trade.

Cousins seems to think he will be ready to play by September. I don't know if I want to bet against him. Sign him to a two year deal and hope he is not wrong. Even if he is, I figure a five of LBJ, Kuzma, KCP, Ball and Zubac/McGee with Ingram, Stephenson and Hart off of the bench. should be able to keep us over .500 until Cousins is ready and like the wonks say, just get LBJ to the playoffs. I would think that if the Spurs continue to want an overpayment for Leonard, he will just walk after this season, if he plays at all. I do expect Randle to be gone though, sign and trade to the Nets seems to be the thought getting the most support. I am thinking Spencer Dinwiddie and a draft pick in the first round should do it.

Chris Bosh? I thought the league had told him he would never play again. If he is 100% and we can get him on the veteran's minimum then that is a massive coup. I am sure there is some rust, but the rumor has it he is working out at the Lakers' practice facility and he looks good.

Nah, I think the Lakers really want to retain Randle & pass on Cousins. Dinwiddie had a breakout year, benching Russell (ha ha), they have no desire to move him. A backup PG is still needed. Lakers talking to Tyreke Evans.

Tyreke Evans is a shoot first guard and nary a pass has left his hands unless he is triple-covered. We really don't need another point guard. We have Ball, we have Ingram, who looked good handling the ball before he broke. Still need a real big man who actually can guard the rim and play more than twelve minutes a game. The Nets can't move Russell and Dinwiddie is more a wing. They actually need some muscle and that is where Randle fits in. I just don't see Randle being happy that he hasn't been offered a big contract yet. I still think a sign and trade is the best option for the Lakers and Randle.

Exactly. Lakers need shooters not passers at this point. Having a primary PG who is your passer & backup who can score is ideal.

Yes, but Tyreke is only able to do one thing proficiently, shoot. If he is the facilitator of our offense, we could be in trouble. Mind you, I wouldn't mind Pelinka signing Tyreke, but I still think we need a player who can guard the rim, first. Seeing as how Noel signed with the Thunder, the options are limited. Lopez is not that guy, neither is Zubac. McGee can be that guy, but I would not expect him to go more than 15 minutes per game.

Randle to New Orleans for two years. I doubt he makes that move unless Cousins is gone. Davis and Randle and only one ball. Cousins is LA - bound. Stretch Deng, sign Cousins to a one year deal and start serious talks with San Antonio because it sounds like LBJ is getting the team he wants.

Well, that doesn't seem to make sense from the money aspect - Boogie Cousins signs a one year deal with the Warriors. If he is healthy, it will be interesting. I kind of thought the Warriors were tapped out after extending Durant, but still had a mid-level exception. Looks like another year of Brook Lopez or hope there is something left in Greg Monroe. Of course, we could take a serious run at Clint Capela, but I doubt we have enough money even if we stretch Deng to not have the Rockets match.

Magic & Pelinka may have hit home runs again w/Mo & Svi but not Bonga. I see what they like in those 2 guys. Mo is a mobile/hustling big who can run the floor, shoot, pass, & stretch the defense. He'll need work on the defensive end. Svi is a 6'8" knock down shooter. Bonga struggled mightily in every aspect of the game. SSS alert but right now I don't see why they traded a 2nd round pick next year + cash for him. To say he's raw is an understatement. He seems more like a draft & stash player but I read that he'll be in LA now.

Kawhi Leonard and Danny Green to Toronto for DeMar DeRozan, Jakob Poeltl and a protected 2019 first-round pick.
