Three-Peat: The 2026 Dodgers Season Thread

One more sleep, until the run to three-peat begins…!

I'm prepared for the AF/DR stupidity and favoritism during the regular season. It's worth it if they hoist that trophy again. Things I'm hoping for in terms of the season:

River Ryan and/or Gavin Stone healthy and in the rotation.
Kim playing and playing well.
Treinen kicked out of the solar system.
Sasaki in the BP and performing like he did in the playoffs rather than being skewered and demoralized as a SP.
Tanner Scott to rebound hard and be what we hoped he would be. If he and Vesia are right, LH hitters will hate playing us in late innings.
Will Klein to be our consistent nasty guy out of the BP.
Henriquez to figure it out between the ears and develop control to go with his filthy stuff.
SP health. Need Snell, Ohtani and Glasnow to be what we pay them to be and not have extended vacations from the hill.
Yamamoto be a God like he was in the WS. He has a CY Young in him and this could be his year.
Diaz to be elite. We really need a guy who can be that elite closer.
Casparius and Dreyer to be consistent and slowly move up the RP ladder.
Teo to be inspired.
Smith to stay healthy and fresh. This would require Rushing to be something other than a bucket of shit.
Espinal and Call to make Kike irrelevant.
Betts to have a resurgence.
Ohtani to stay healthy.
Edman to provide something of value to justify that shit contract.
FF to move into a consistent gap hitter and hit .300 with 15-20 bombs and fewer K's.
Muncy to stay healthy and not have those massively long stretches where he just disappears Offensively.
Tucker to be Tucker.
No major arm injuries for a change.
Our Offense to be consistent and not go long stretches doing nothing to help our pitchers. Less Boom/Bust and more quality AB's.
Roberts to retire after the season and Rojas take over.

Yeah, that’s a pretty simple wish list!

I agree I think we are going to need another lefty as Scott is not inspiring confidence at all.

Good opening game for the Dodgers.

In addition to the Cubs locking up PCA for a while last week they have now given a 6 year extension to Nico Hoerner, after he was rumored to be trade bait during the offseason.

Anthony Franco of MLB Trade Rumors when asked what surprised him coming out of Spring Training: "Tough for me to see Roki Sasaki sticking in the Dodgers rotation for very long with how bad he looked in camp."

Everyone sees it but the Dodgers' brass!

I'm sure they see it. I would bet that when they moved him to the pen last year they promised him to give him a spot in the rotation to start this year. If he flounders (it would be a miracle if he doesn't) I'd bet he'll be in the minors before too long. If we know anything from watching this team for the past few years it is that they view the entire season as just a big tryout for the postseason roster.

Dodgers sign Clayton Kershaw as a Special Assistant to Andrew Friedman.

Trade MiLB OF Damon Keith to MIL for Cash Considerations.
