True that. BullPlaschke. Plaschke for brains. Don't know Plaschke from Shinola.
I was even thinking the pictogram of Plaschke + a tootsie pop. It works better as a pictogram than saying out loud because that would sound like some woman or a leech liked the SOP (son of a Plaschke).

Plaschke basically replaced TJ Simers as the piece of human shit that is more interested in getting any response and takes joy in annoying people.

I’m guessing more fake news!

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Sources: <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Dodgers?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc^tfw">#Dodgers</a> offered Bryce Harper a 10-year deal. Terms as far as money are unknown but I got to believe it’s more than $300 mil but still this is big considering <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/SFGiants?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc^tfw">#SFGiants</a> and <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/Phillies?src=hash&ref_src=twsrc^tfw">#Phillies</a> have reportedly also offered Bryce 10-years as well</p>— Chris Camello (@Chris_Camello) <a href="">February 28, 2019</a></blockquote> <script async src="https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

This guy actually has some credibility. He's broken news before. I'm still skeptical though.

Who knows what to believe:

8:10pm: ESPN’s Buster Olney tweets that the Dodgers’ interest in Harper is still “predicated on [a] short-term deal,” though he adds that the Giants are indeed in “heavy” on Harper.

Chris was good a couple years ago. But it looked like his sources dried up. He looked stupid when he broke the Braun for Kemp trade last April and resorted to parroting other posters.

He's also the guy who broke this story. Check the date.

Regarding Bryce, my sources said there was an internal rumor within organization that #Dodgers have an agreement reached with Harper but it’s still not confirmed. I’m working to see what’s going on, but nothing confirmed or official yet

And Friedman is probably more excited about the news of SF being willing to make that kind of financial commitment at this time.

Looks like win-win-win to me. Getting Harper on our terms = Dodgers win. Having Harper NOT sign with Philly = Dodgers win. SF sinking a giant chunk of their payroll into one player when they'll be spending the next 3-5 years trying to rebuild that mess = Dodgers win.
We'll probably never know for sure but it's very likely that if the Dodgers do actually sign Harper for 10+ years it was completely Walter and Kasten. I don't believe Friedman would make that move. The Pollock signing was the value play that is more typical Friedman.

I don’t think any huge money deal like this is ever the GM. This kind of contract always goes through and is finalized by the owner.
ARoid - Steinbrenner
Fielder - Illich
Pujols - Moreno
Cabrera - Illich
Stanton - Drawing a blank on the idiot Marlin owner...

No GM spends that kind of money without the owner right next to him.

No question on something of this magnitude the owner has to be on board. What I was trying to say is I think whatever involvement the Dodgers have in this is owner directed and not anything Friedman would have suggested they even consider.

Friedman has a job that he was hired to do and he has stuck to that. I think you are right on. The owners know they need a superstar and outside of CK in name nobody else is that on this team. An LA team need a face of the franchise.
